Your bot can talk to the user — that’s awesome! But have you thought about supporting more than one language and expanding your potential audience? There are some things that need to be considered, not just the language but also different timezones for example. In this article I will shed some light on the possibilities and limitations in the field if internationalization (i18n), with a focus on the Facebook Messenger platform. I will share insights from the development of Toni, our own football chatbot ⚽️ 🤖 that currently speaks English and German and supports leagues in England, Germany, Spain, Italy and other countries.
